Im sad to say that this is my last blog hop as a design team member for creative vision.  Thank you so much for allowing me to take part in designing handmade cards and gifts over the past 4 months. 

Today I have for you a quick and simple gift idea.  I have made a lemonade holder and a drink holder using a coffee cup holder.  This is super cute and can be addapted for any occassion.  I used the Lemonade Stand stamp set to complete this set.  I hope you enjoy and have a great holiday season.

Is that a dirty cat box????

So at first glance most of you would probably guess that this is a dirty cat box.....well you would be WRONG!!!

This is actually a cake.  Yes thats right....a cake.  My mom brought this recipe home from work as a joke and we decided that we were going to make it as her bosses birthday cake.  Hope he likes it. 

Well for those of you that would like to make this cake yourself here are the directions:

You will need:
1 box of german chocolate cake mix
1 box of white cake mix
1 box of instant vanilla pudding
1 pack of vanilla sandwich cookies
green food coloring
tootsie rolls

You will also need:
1 brand new cat litter box
brand new cat box liner
brand new cat scoop

Make the 2 cakes as you normally would.  While those are baking make your pudding and let cool.  Chop your cookies in the blender and set aside 1 cup of cookie crumbs.

Cruble your cakes in a bowl and add  half of the cookie crumbs that are left and add enough of the pudding to make it moist but not soggy.

Then spread into the liner that is in the cat box.

Melt a few tootsie rolls slightly in the microwave and shape into cat poop.  Place ontop of the cake.  Sprinkle the rest of the cookie crumbs ontop of the cake.

With the cup of cookie crumbs that were set to the side, add a few drops of the green food coloring and mix well.  Top off your cake with the green cookie mix.

Using your cat scoop...serve and enjoy

Today I have for you a cute tag for you that I made with the Lemonade Stand stamp set. I have to say that I LOVE this stamp set.  I find myself using it all the time. 

 I started with a tag base that I purchased at my local Michaels.  Then I cut 3 different patterned papers and edged them with Tim Holtz distressing ink.  Then I stamped and colored my image as well as stamped my setiment.  Then I added some ribbon to the tag.

Although this tag isn't a Christmas tag, you could easly change the image and the setiment for a quick and easy Christmas gift tag.

Diaper Cake for Kyrie's Baby Shower

My boyfriend's cousin and his wife are expecting a little boy in Jan.  I decided to make her a diaper cake instead of just wrapping up a box of diapers.  I have made several diaper cakes in the past but I have to say that this one is my favorite.

It was very simple to make.  I didnt use quite the whole box of diapers so I will be giving her those too.  Hope it is a big hit at the baby shower.

So being the theme for this months blog hop is "My Favorite Things" I thought I would share a few of my favorite things with you.  To start off I LOVE ATC's.  And ATC is an artist trading card (measures 2 1/'2 x 3 1/2")  These are the perfect size to showcase one of your favorite stamps.  Another one of my favorite things is distressing.  I used Tim Holtz distress ink on the edges of all my paper and my primas, which brings you to another one of my favorites.  I also LOVE primas.  They can add so much to something simple.  Another thing I love are brads.  They come in so many shapes and sizes.  And last but not least I LOVE dogs.  This stamp is just perfect to show my love of dogs.  So as you can see this ATC is packed full of "My Favorite Things".

Altered Shelves

I was at the dollar tree yesterday and came across these natural wood shelves...instantly I thought of turning them into an altered shelf.  So I bought one and took it home and started to play.  This is my first attempt at it....

So I love how it turned out and I showed it to my aunt who asked me to make her 3 of them.  One for each of her granddaughters.  So this morning I went back to dollar tree and picked up a few more.  Here are the 3 I made for her granddaughers.  She loved how they turned out and so do I.  I cant wait to make more.

I hope I have inspired you to create your own altered shelf.

Sorry Ive been MIA...

I sorry I havent posted in a few days.  I havent been feeling well.  Hopefully im back on the mend and will be posting again soon.  And to everyone in the Virginia/DC area....how did you like the earthquake we had today?  I cant believe its the biggest one since 1897....todays registered at a 5.9.  Hope everyone is ok and is enjoying the rest of their evening.

Dreaming of Fall....

Sorry there wasnt a post yesterday.  It was quite a busy day.  I had to work all day and then prepair for the huge birthday carnival we had today but im back today to show you a new card.   I am so excited for fall to come.  It is one of my favorite times of the year.  I hope you enjoy this card and make sure you stop back by tomorrow to see what I have next for you.

This is a "thank you" set that I recently made.  It had 3 cards, a bookmark, a notepad and a matching pen.  I altered a mini mailbox from target to put it all in.  I love how it turned out.  Hope you enjoy.
