Birthday Boy!

So this week I bring to you a very cute image from Sew Many Cards.  I chose to turn this image into a birthday image because I needed a birthday card for my cousins son.

I really like the way it turned out.  Hope you come back next week for our company blog hop and a chance to win some prizes.

Is that a pink elephant???

Today I have brought you a little challenge.  Over at "Sew Many Cards" we are having a little challenge.  You can only use the colors yellow, pink, and turquoise.  I have to admit this one kinda stumped me for a little bit but this is what I came up with.

It is a really cute box I decorated to hold v-day candy for one of my little ones.
Hope this gets you inspired to use yellow, pink and turquoise today.

Cowboy's Can Be So Cute

First off I want to appologize for not posting in so long.  The holidays were crazy around here plus I have been sick and have been in and out of the hospital.  So while I have been stuck in bed I have been playing around on SplitCoast alot.  I came across a company called "Sew Many Cards".  I fell in love with their images.  I found this cute donkey with a cowboy boot and knew I had to have it as I have been saving some cowboy paper till I found the perfect image to use with it.  So here is the first card I have made using this stamp.

I hope you like the card and I will be back soon to show you what else I have been up to.

Is that a dirty cat box????

So at first glance most of you would probably guess that this is a dirty cat box.....well you would be WRONG!!!

This is actually a cake.  Yes thats right....a cake.  My mom brought this recipe home from work as a joke and we decided that we were going to make it as her bosses birthday cake.  Hope he likes it.

Well for those of you that would like to make this cake yourself here are the directions:

You will need:
1 box of german chocolate cake mix
1 box of white cake mix
1 box of instant vanilla pudding
1 pack of vanilla sandwich cookies
green food coloring
tootsie rolls

You will also need:
1 brand new cat litter box
brand new cat box liner
brand new cat scoop

Make the 2 cakes as you normally would.  While those are baking make your pudding and let cool.  Chop your cookies in the blender and set aside 1 cup of cookie crumbs.

Cruble your cakes in a bowl and add  half of the cookie crumbs that are left and add enough of the pudding to make it moist but not soggy.

Then spread into the liner that is in the cat box.

Melt a few tootsie rolls slightly in the microwave and shape into cat poop.  Place ontop of the cake.  Sprinkle the rest of the cookie crumbs ontop of the cake.

With the cup of cookie crumbs that were set to the side, add a few drops of the green food coloring and mix well.  Top off your cake with the green cookie mix.

Using your cat scoop...serve and enjoy
