A Sad Day....

A friend of the family took his own life on Christmas Eve leaving behind a wife, 2 children and a large loving family.  Here are three of the cards that I have made for his family so far.  This is a very sad time for our small little town.

This is the card that I made for his sister.  I used the Stair-Step Method for her card.

This is the card that I made for one of his brothers.

This is the card that I made for his mother.  When it is fully opened it has a total of 9 different panels on the inside of the card.

I used the same stamp set for all 3 cards but changes the paper and color tones for each card.

Vintage Ballet

Here is another card that I made using the vintage feel along with paper piecing. I am loving the vintage feel more and more.

I like the papers and the large flower on this card.  It is a really simple card but turned out really cute.

There is HOPE.....

Today I have a really cute card for you.  I have just started to paper piece so I thought that this little girl could use a cute paper pieced dress and hat.  I really love the way it turned out.  I should have tried paper piecing a long time ago.  For those of you who havent tried it yet...what are you waiting for?  Go try it right now and let me know how it worked out for you.

Make sure you come back tomorrow for another cute card using paper piecing.  Have a great evening.

Oldies but Goodies...

So live has been hectic lately with my surgeries, kids being sick, my grandmother's health is rapidly declining and school coming to an end I havent had much time to stamp so I thought I would show you some of the cards I have made in the past until I get the chance to stamp....which will deff have to happen soon as I am SO stressed out and stamping is my stress reliever.

So in the first pic is a card set that I made for a swap a few months ago.  I made a card holder along with 3 matching cards and envies.

The second pic is the birthday card I made for my son to give to his father.  My fiance loved it so much it brought tears to his eyes.

The last pic is the card I made for my neighbor.  She is graduating from high school this year.  She is the last of 4 children to graduate from high school.  Go Warriors!!

Well I hope you have enjoyed viewing my lil blast from the past and I will return shortly with some brand new creations.

Birthday Boy!

So this week I bring to you a very cute image from Sew Many Cards.  I chose to turn this image into a birthday image because I needed a birthday card for my cousins son.

I really like the way it turned out.  Hope you come back next week for our company blog hop and a chance to win some prizes.

Is that a pink elephant???

Today I have brought you a little challenge.  Over at "Sew Many Cards" we are having a little challenge.  You can only use the colors yellow, pink, and turquoise.  I have to admit this one kinda stumped me for a little bit but this is what I came up with.

It is a really cute box I decorated to hold v-day candy for one of my little ones.
Hope this gets you inspired to use yellow, pink and turquoise today.

Cowboy's Can Be So Cute

First off I want to appologize for not posting in so long.  The holidays were crazy around here plus I have been sick and have been in and out of the hospital.  So while I have been stuck in bed I have been playing around on SplitCoast alot.  I came across a company called "Sew Many Cards".  I fell in love with their images.  I found this cute donkey with a cowboy boot and knew I had to have it as I have been saving some cowboy paper till I found the perfect image to use with it.  So here is the first card I have made using this stamp.

I hope you like the card and I will be back soon to show you what else I have been up to.
